To Strong Women was created as part of the New View Film competition for emerging Directors. The subject of the documentary focuses on an uplifting character, my mother. Although 5 minutes is not enough time to cover one of the people who helped shape and influence my life, I do hope that this piece helps scratch the surface of one of my role models, and provide some perspective on how she helped shape and influence my life. I’ve been known to be a quiet but strong-willed person, which may be a conundrum for most, but not a surprise for people who are of the same nature. By working on this short documentary, it helped bring some insight to my character and how it was formed.
